Batman manages to make a trap with bombs that were already placed to make the tunnels, but ends up being cornered. When Knight was going to crush him, Batman ejected, seeing his Batmobile destroyed. Batman finds Gordon being tortured by militia soldiers, but defeats them. Arkham Knight confronts Batman once more, and reveals himself to be Jason Todd, the second Robin that Batman believed was murdered. Jason blames Batman for abandoning him. They fight, while Batman tries to help him, but Jason doesn't listen. After defeating him, Batman says that things can still be worked out. Upon calling Alfred to inform him of it, Jason escapes. Batman and Gordon head to the roof to find Scarecrow. Gordon says he never forgets the night he met Bruce, and confirms he knows his identity. As they confront Scarecrow, he reveals that Barbara is alive, and everything Batman saw was because of the fear toxin. Gordon shoots Batman in exchange for his daughter's life, but Scarecrow throws her off the roof. Batman rescues Barbara, revealing that Gordon knew where to shoot. Scarecrow escapes with Gordon.
