Batman uses the elevator to reach the lower levels. He sees several victims trapped in the operating room, being affected by the fear gas. In a hallway, he finds Gordon dead. Following the killer's trail, he arrives at the Morgue. He finds three body bags. Opening it, he finds the bodies of his parents, Thomas and Marta. Upon opening the third, he is faced with the Scarecrow. Under the effect of the fear gas, Batman faces a giant Scarecrow, defeating him with the bat-signal. Batman exits the morgue, finding a dead security guard, who the gas has tricked him into thinking was Gordon. Following the trail left by The Joker, Batman finds Gordon trapped by Harley Quinn. In silence, Batman defeats the henchmen and Harley Quinn. He frees Commissioner Gordon. The Joker draws attention to a locked room. Upon entering, they come across Bane, tied up and attached to a machine that is sucking Venom out of him. Batman asks who did this to him, with Bane replying that it was Doctor Young. The Joker triggers the bomb that swaps Venom for Titan. Bane breaks free and attacks Batman. After a difficult struggle, the ceiling collapses, but Batman escapes the room. Bane tries once more to attack Batman, who summons the Batmobile. Batmobile hits Bane, hurling him into the waters of Gotham Bay. Batman takes Gordon to the docks, where a security boat takes him back to the city. Batman informs Oracle that he is going to a hidden Batcave on the island so that he can analyze Doctor Young's research.
