After capturing Calendar Man along with Robin, Batman decides to take the criminal to the asylum, an excuse to check out the place, which he's heard rumors about since the new director Hugo Strange was hired. However, things go from bad to worse when a mass breakout occurs, freeing the inmates who quickly take control of the place. Now, Batman has to find a way to keep everyone alive, put the patients back in their cells, and prevent any of them from escaping. Knowing what that means for Gotham if it happens. It's Bruce's fiercest battle in his entire journey so far, facing several of the criminals he put there together, all at once.
