Essentially, after Tom Welling's Superman, Erica Durance's Lois Lane, and Michael Rosenbaum's Lex Luthor appeared in Superman: All Star, the events of Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League took place, where Brainiac invaded Earth and mind-controlled many members of the League,which forced Batman to join Task Force X and a few others in liberating the world, leaving Clark as one of the fallen heroes afterward.
