A pale man, dressed like Batman with spikes covering his eyes and chains weighing down on his body, watches from a cauldron while the Anti-Monitor and the Red Death Batman both fail in destroying the multiverse, and chuckles. He twirls an action figure of Superman around in his skinny, frail fingers, before saying, ''When darkness falls, and people need HOPE... They turn to their heroes.'' Before asking us, ''Isn't. That. Funny???'' And then cracking up and laughing uncontrollably in his own throne room inside what was once the Daily Planet in Metropolis.
