Tim Drake, a 16-year-old kid, was able to deduce Bruce Wayne was Batman, Jason Todd was Robin, and Dick Grayson, was the former Robin(Now Nightwing), when he saw him do a quadruple back-flip, and only three people could've done that, and they were the Flying Grayson's. Batman wanted nothing to do with Tim, having seen the potential in him, but fearing another Robin. Instead, Dick realized Tim's potential and trained him, knowing that Batman will always need a Robin.
