Batman is about the 2 best detectives in the world trying to solve who is killing all these people and why. Clayface (Matt Hagen) was an actor who did anything to stay relevant and ended up ruining his life and becoming the monster Clayface. At the end of the movie we see the rest of the bat family in the bat cave showing that this is a lived in Gotham with Batman having been there for years
