Edward Van Sloan (born Edward Paul Van Sloun; 1 November 1877 - 6 March 1969), was an American screen and stage character actor best remembered for his roles in Universal Studios horror films.
A stand-alone film noir paying tribute to the Golden Age of DC Comics and a period piece based on the first appearance of Batman in Detective Comics #27 taking place in 1939 at the beginning of Bruce Wayne’s crusade as The Batman.
