The Avengers help Captain America adjust to the modern day and must battle MODOK and AIM who are selling weapons of mass destruction to the US and Soviet Union to profit off an imminent war. They team up with new recruits Black Panther, Black Widow, and Hawkeye. The Avengers must stop AIM before they launch a weapon that destroys the US and Soviet Union.
