Charlie Thomas Cox (born 15 December 1982) is an English actor. He is known for portraying Matt Murdock / Daredevil in seven projects of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, leading the television series Daredevil (2015–2018) and Daredevil: Born Again (2025–present). Cox portrayed Owen Sleater in the second and third seasons of HBO's Boardwalk Empire (2011–2012) and Jonathan Hellyer Jones in the 2014 film The Theory of Everything. He starred in the RTÉ drama series Kin (2021–2023) and the Netflix spy miniseries Treason (2022). Cox's breakout role was as Tristan Thorn in the 2007 fantasy film Stardust, one of several roles he had in predominantly British productions during the first decade of his career. He made his West End debut the following year in a revival of the Harold Pinter plays The Lover and The Collection. Following his successes on-screen in the 2010s, he acted in a 2019 stage production of Harold Pinter's Betrayal, first in the West End and then on Broadway. He would later make his video game debut in 2025 as Gustave in Clair Obscur: Expedition 33. Valeria Richards was sent back in time to help stop the coming of a terrible future. Following the death of the younger version of Kang, Harley Keener. Val fears that the end result to be far worse. Val, along with her brother Franklin, make a deal with Doom to tear down the Kang Dynasty before it begins. However before the heroes can mourn the loss of the young Iron Lad along with fan favorites (Spider-Man [Tobey Maguire], Hulk, and Hyperion and among many many others) Doom double crosses the Richards siblings and claims Franklin’s remaining power as his own. Having transformed the Battleworld into its final form, only Deadpool (thanks to his 4th Wall Awareness) remembers the world that came before.
