After their fight with the Fantastic Four, Victor snuck around Atlantis to find Namor's trident. Namor was awake and saw him sneaking towards it. He asked his partner what he was doing. Victor said that he does not keep promises to fish men. Then he was going to grab Namor's trident when Namor tackled him! It was a brutal and exciting fight between the Sub-Mariner and Doctor Doom, but Victor got the advantage and swung Namor's trident at him! With the trident, Dr. Doom becomes the king of Atlantis, and Namor's army now follow Doctor Doom, thinking he's their new king.
