Evacuating their lunar stronghold, the Inhuman Royal Family descends upon Earth with a catastrophic agenda. King Black Bolt orchestrates a plot to detonate a massive payload of Terrigen Mist in the heart of New York City, a global dispersal designed to unlock the latent powers of hidden Inhumans while instantly vaporizing pure human life. Earth’s Mightiest Heroes immediately mobilize to intercept the invasion, igniting a war across the Manhattan skyline. While Iron Man desperately focuses his tech on deactivating the Terrigenesis device, Captain America engages Black Bolt in a brutal, one-on-one duel of leadership and raw power. The silent king quickly gains the upper hand, pinning a battered Steve Rogers to the pavement. Leaning down, Black Bolt delivers a chilling whisper directly into Cap's ear: "This world is ours." The shockwave of his localized voice tears a massive crater into the street, yet Cap is left bewildered—the king had spoken to him with a normal, unamplified cadence just moments before. Before he can process this anomaly, Cap is knocked unconscious and dragged away into the shadows. Despite the team's desperate efforts, the Terrigenesis device activates. Iron Man rapidly deploys an automated fleet of backup armors to shield civilians from the falling fog, while Thor conjures a localized hyper-whirlwind to rip the toxic cloud upward into deep space. The brief exposure still infects thousands of people. Hundreds of human casualties line the streets, including a devastating sweep of S.H.I.E.L.D. tactical agents-leaving only a single survivor, Daisy Johnson. Amidst the chaos, a young girl named Kamala Khan also emerges intact from a glowing cocoon. Rallying with relentless fury, the remaining Avengers overpower and arrest the Inhumans. Searching the ruins of the enemy stronghold, they locate a severely beaten, bruised, and chained Captain America, rescuing their leader but realizing a dark new era of cosmic friction has permanently altered the globe.
