Anthony Dwane Mackie (born September 23, 1978) is an American actor. He gained wide recognition for portraying Sam Wilson / Falcon / Captain America in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, beginning with the film Captain America: The Winter Soldier (2014), and headlining the Disney+ miniseries The Falcon and the Winter Soldier (2021) and its continuation film Captain America: Brave New World (2025). Mackie made his film debut in 8 Mile (2002), and earned critical recognition for his roles in Brother to Brother (2004), which garnered him an Independent Spirit Award nomination for Best Actor, and The Hurt Locker (2008), which earned him a nomination for Best Supporting Actor at the AAFCA Awards. He also played Tupac Shakur in Notorious (2009) and Martin Luther King Jr. in the HBO film All the Way (2016). On television, Mackie starred as Takeshi Kovacs in the second season of Netflix's Altered Carbon (2020) and currently leads the Peacock series Twisted Metal (2023–present). In theatre, he has performed in Broadway and Off-Broadway adaptations, including Ma Rainey's Black Bottom, A Soldier's Play, and Carl Hancock Rux's Talk, for which he won an Obie Award in 2002. The universe we know and love suddenly faces doom as it collides with another universe. The Avengers, New Avengers and the timeline travellers, the Fantastic Four are all faced with a very important choice on how they can protect their world from 'the others'. Little do they know, just how truly special their world is in this endless multiverse. Furthermore, a infamous variant of a conqueror, known as Doctor Doom visits Earth 616 further complicating things. *In simple terms: This story follows the hero's of Earth 616, fighting for a solution to save their world against the colliding world featuring the X-men. However after some struggle both worlds begin to realise Dr Doom is the one pulling the strings and they begin to discover and resist his twisted plan for the multiverse.
