A group of 16 teenage superheroes awaken on an island in the middle of nowhere, having been kidnapped in their sleep by a B-list villain who wants to be an A-lister. Arcade, the X-Men/Spider-man villain is tired of being overlooked by everyone else, and plans to prove to everyone how big a man he can be with his latest scheme. Using a mixture of magic and Black-Market Stark Industries technology, he constructed a massive death arena island several miles wide, and has kidnapped several students from the Xavier Institute and Avengers Academy to be his guinea pigs. After 30 days, he will send a rescue signal out for the heroes to find them, and whoever has survived in that amount of time will be set free. Over the next 30 days, alliances are made, lines are drawn, and several heroes die. It also becomes apparent that some of these "heroes" might not be as morally sound as the public believes them to be.
