The Other, the right-hand man to a mysterious figure, is mentally talking to the Dark Overlord. The Other says that Overlord's ambition is little, born of barbaric needs. He and his master look beyond the Earth to greater worlds the Tesseract will unveil. Overlord says that until the portal opens, until their forces are under his command, The Other is but words. The Other says "You will have your war, Overlord. If you fail . . . if the Tesseract is kept from us . . . there will be no realm. No barren moon. No CREVICE where he cannot find you. You think you know pain? He will make you long for something sweet as pain!"
