When Peter gets beaten up by the Sinister Six the first time, he gets taken to the hospital where his mind gets a visit from Uncle Ben. Peter says that he's so ashamed of himself for the mistakes he made. That night Ben died. Green Goblin. Harry. Giving up on being Spider-Man. Dr. Octavius. Venom. Flint. Now the Sinister Six. Uncle Ben says that mistakes are just a part of life. "We can either hold them as burdens . . . or we use them as stepping stones for greatness. You have made a lot of mistakes Peter. But that doesn't mean you can't do great things. You have never disappointed me, son. Never have. Never will."
