The police scanners have been going nuts that night, reports about sightings of a big green monster headed for the sewers. Peter put on his mask and used his spider-senses to follow the threat. Once he got down below, it was basically the episode "Night of the Lizard" of the animated series (without Mrs. Connors or Billy, and more of a first meeting, and more monsterous). When he found the monster, he saw it was huge, strong, and very terrifying. Peter could not believe it when he saw the creature's name tag: Curt Connors. After brutally losing a fight to the Lizard, Pete now dedicates his time into finding a cure for Dr. Connors.
