When he and Antoine's mother Marie Depardieu died in an early war, the king took him in. Then he became Sally's older brother, always protecting her. When Sonic came to the village, Antoine doesn't trust him, telling him to stay away from Sally. Antoine, despite his distrust towards Sonic, is an expertly skilled swordfighter that you can count on to protect you.
