Set after the events of Descendants: The Rise Of Red, a new group of villain kids who were never known to have existed, arrive in Auradon. These VKs, Ginny, Ana, Henry, and Yzla, were trained in secret for years by Maleficent as a backup in case the original VKs failed in their mission to obtain the Fairy Godmother's wand. It's up to the new VKs, called the Unknowns, to obtain a new object, even more powerful than the wand, an object that has yet to be discovered by the people of Auradon, but is buried deep in the archives. The Unknowns must obtain a magical hat that belonged to a kind sorcerer from long ago, who used it to defeat a dark creature that threatened the very balance of magic. After the creature's banishment to a faraway land, the sorcerer used the hat to create a portal to an unknown kingdom where he was lost to time. With the hat, the Unknowns will become the most powerful beings in all of existence. Will they succeed in their mission? Or will the power of good prove to be too much for the VKs?
