After a huge eating disaster occurs in the Sesame Street bake-off, Cookie Monster gets himself a time-out from eating cookies and is forced to go on a diet, which is no fun for him. He then stumbles upon a rare and strange cookie meteorite that fell from outer space. It tastes so perfect, Cookie Monster becomes so obsessed with finding the space rock, it radiates him into a giant blue monster gobbling up the city of New York! Big Bird, Ernie and Bert, Grover, and the whole Sesame Street gang must work together and snap Cookie Monster out of his monstrous rampaging hunger!
