Fan Casting Milo James Thatch in Atlantis: The Lost Empire

Milo James Thatch is a brilliant but socially awkward linguist and cartographer in his early thirties who works as a museum curator. Despite his exceptional intellect and encyclopedic knowledge of ancient languages and cultures, he struggles with self-confidence and is often dismissed by his peers as an eccentric dreamer. When he's unexpectedly recruited for a secret expedition to find the legendary lost city of Atlantis, Milo discovers a sense of purpose he never knew he was missing. Throughout his journey, he transforms from a timid, underestimated academic into a courageous adventurer willing to challenge authority and fight for what he believes in. His genuine curiosity, compassion for others, and unwavering moral compass make him an unlikely hero—one who wins people over not through physical prowess, but through intelligence, determination, and authentic human connection.
