After the first Assassin's Creed film was launched in 2016, the second movie will have a darker and gorier tone about the two secret societies between the Assassins Brotherhood, who fight for peace and free will, and the Templar Order, who desire peace through order and control. Callum ''Cal'' Lynch (Michael Fassbender) reprised his role when he fled the ceremony that night on 14 December 2016 as Cal retrieved the apple and protects it from the Templar-led Abstergo forces by Dr. Sophia Rikkin (Marion Cotillard).
