Anthony Dwane Mackie (born September 23, 1978) is an American actor. He gained wide recognition for portraying Sam Wilson / Falcon / Captain America in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, beginning with the film Captain America: The Winter Soldier (2014), and headlining the Disney+ miniseries The Falcon and the Winter Soldier (2021) and its continuation film Captain America: Brave New World (2025). Mackie made his film debut in 8 Mile (2002), and earned critical recognition for his roles in Brother to Brother (2004), which garnered him an Independent Spirit Award nomination for Best Actor, and The Hurt Locker (2008), which earned him a nomination for Best Supporting Actor at the AAFCA Awards. He also played Tupac Shakur in Notorious (2009) and Martin Luther King Jr. in the HBO film All the Way (2016). On television, Mackie starred as Takeshi Kovacs in the second season of Netflix's Altered Carbon (2020) and currently leads the Peacock series Twisted Metal (2023–present). In theatre, he has performed in Broadway and Off-Broadway adaptations, including Ma Rainey's Black Bottom, A Soldier's Play, and Carl Hancock Rux's Talk, for which he won an Obie Award in 2002. Little is known about Antonio Rodriguez. He has a criminal record and his wife's name is Maria. Place of birth: San Antonio, Texas. + spoiler + His wife fell ill with an unknown type of illness. Rodriguez took her to various doctors, but none of them could determine the nature of her illness, let alone help her. In desperation, he contacted the scientist, Dr. Karel Malus, a scientist who had been prosecuted for his experiments. Malus accomplished various things, including making substances that gave ordinary mortals superhuman abilities. The scientist agreed to treat his wife, and in return Rodriguez became his experimental subject. Rodriguez underwent an experimental process in which genetic material from an armadillo was introduced into his body. The process caused a drastic increase in Rodriguez's strength, his skin transformed into solid organic steel, and thick hard claws grew on his hands. Malus ordered Armadillo to break into the West Coast Avengers headquarters and steal the body of Goliath, who was being held there and his body was in a coma. But Armadillo found himself in a fight with Captain America. Although Armadillo was physically superior to him, the Captain defeated him. It turned out that everything Rodriguez did was at the discretion of his ailing wife, and Captain America did not extradite him to the authorities.
