Fan Casting Harvey Dent in Two Sides of the Law

Following a failed run for Mayor preceding the events of The Batman, Harvey Dent further devoted himself to getting rid of the corruption in Gotham City. Though corruption seemed to be at its highest, Harvey believed that he had found a way to drastically affect the crime families - by sentencing Oswald Cobb for the murder of the mobster's former protege Victor Aguilar. The case went well until a near-fatal interaction in the courtroom led to his disfigurement - and his declining mental state.
