Archie's over protective, strict but loving father. Like in Riverdale, he is a construction company owner and is very down to earth. He and his wife Mary have a very loving relationship and have been together since high school. He and Archie have a very strained bond due to Fred at times seeming overly critical. Despite seeming critical of him Fred thinks the world of his son and does care about him and only is overly critical because he wants Archie to have a good life. He and Archie grow to understand one another throughout the film. (Note: As a tribute to Luke Perry who played Fred originally try to think of voice actors that are similar in nature to Luke.)
