Arthur Curry, a 32-year-old drifter with superhuman abilities, has spent most of his life avoiding responsibility and hiding from his Atlantean heritage. After the death of his mother, Queen Atlanna, Arthur learns that his half-brother Orm, the current ruler of Atlantis, is planning to wage war against the surface world. Arthur reluctantly journeys to Atlantis to claim his birthright as king and stop Orm’s destructive plans.
With the help of Mera, a fierce Atlantean warrior, and Vulko, his mother’s trusted advisor, Arthur must navigate the treacherous politics of Atlantis, prove himself worthy of the throne, and unite a divided kingdom. Along the way, he confronts Black Manta, a deadly pirate with a personal vendetta against him, who becomes a key player in Orm’s war.
