Arthur Curry was kept away from atlantis for his own safety cause Black Manta was after him. He lived with his father, and lived a sort of normal life. Arthur then meets a woman named Mera who tells him what's going on in atlantis and needs his help. Arthur now must go on a journey of self discovery to beat this threat.
