Following the events of Justice League: Tower of Babel, Arthur Curry retreats to his home in Amnesty Bay to plan the funeral of his father, Thomas Curry who had just passed. While there, he’s attacked by an Atlantian Scout Team led by a spy named Mera. We learn that Mera is the leader of a resistance of Atlantians who hope to stop the corrupt king Orm. But when he finds out that Orm is holding his young son who he had during a one night stand captive in order to keep his place as ruler, Arthur strikes to help.
