King T'Chaka is the leader and monarch of Wakanda. In his youth (1981) he took the throne and the role of the Black Panther. Hardly anyone knows about Wakanda's riches and the Black Panther. He witnesses how Wakandan guards are taken by a troop of soldiers and discovers a secret camp of HYDRA. Now he is on the trail of the secret alliance and quickly gets caught in the crossfire. By chance he meets the team of heroes from S.H.I.E.L.D., but does not reveal his identity to them and quickly finds himself walking a tightrope between protecting his country and doing what is right.
