Janet van Dyne was a scientist and the wife of Hank Pym and, since 1980, the mother of their daughter Hope van Dyne. Pym developed a suit for her that has all the abilities of the Ant-Man suit but is equipped with wings so that she can fly once she is shrunk. She works for S.H.I.E.L.D. under the code name Wasp and has already completed various missions together with her husband. At the end of the film, van Dyne Wasp decides to sacrifice herself and climb into a rocket to disarm it. Wasp will succeed and save the lives of millions of people, but she has now disappeared into the quantum realm.
