Following the invasion of New York, Ant-Man, Hank Pym, works to keep his size-altering technology from being turned into a weapon. His fears are realized when the advanced science organization AIM, aided by the calculating MODOK, develops a rival suit designed to surpass Ant-Man. The project is led by Darren Cross, who dons the powerful Yellow Jacket Armor and begins using it to force governments into adopting AIM’s technology. As Hank races to stop Cross, he reconnects with his former partner and girlfriend, Janet Van Dyne, whose intelligence and courage push him to accept help. When Cross launches a full-scale attack, Janet joins the fight in a prototype flight-and-stinger suit, becoming the Wasp. Together, Hank and Janet defeat Yellow Jacket in a microscopic battle inside an AIM facility. Though Darren Cross is stopped, MODOK and AIM escape intact, setting the stage for future threats. United as equals, Ant-Man and the Wasp stand ready to face what comes next.
