Jennifer Kent (born 5 March 1969) is an Australian writer-director best known for her supernatural horror film "The Babadook" (2014) and her period revenge thriller "The Nightingale" (2018). Kent graduated from the National Institute of Dramatic Art in 1991 with a degree in Performing Arts.
Angel O'Day, daughter of famed adventurer Professor Theo O'Day, operates as a private investigator with her partner Sam Simeon, a comic book artist and talking gorilla.
