Richard Laurence Parker, a dedicated scientist, worked on Oscorp's Project Double Zero with Curt Connors and his father, Spencer Smythe, to create genetically enhanced spiders (Araneus Oscorpeus) with self-healing capabilities. However, upon discovering that Norman Osborn planned to use them as biological weapons, Richard erased the research and fled with his wife, Mary, leaving their son, Peter, with his aunt and uncle.Pursued by Oscorp,Richard and Mary died in a plane crash,but not before uploading a confession to Roosevelt Station,revealing the truth about the dangerous project.His current status remains deceased.
