Darya Vereshchagina is a Belarusian film and television actress. She lives and works in Russia. She is best known for her lead role as Alisa Selezneva in the 2024 film *Sto let tomu vperyod*.
Darya was born on November 11, 1997, in the city of Lida. At the age of ten, she became a fan of actor Jim Carrey and decided to become an actress so that she might one day star in a film alongside him. Her parents opposed the idea of an acting career, but Darya secretly applied to the Belarusian State University of Culture and Arts and was accepted.
After graduating from the institute, Vereshchagina decided to further her education; she worked first in St. Petersburg and then in Moscow, where she enrolled in Oleg Kudryashov’s directing course at GITIS, graduating in 2022. Because the course leader strictly forbade his students from acting in films, Daria is credited under the surname Rudyak in her earliest movie roles.
She made her screen debut in 2018 in the NTV series *Five Minutes of Silence: The Return*. From 2021 to 2022, she was a guest actress at the Taganka Theatre and also performed at the independent Praktika Theatre.
