Bradley Charles Cooper (born January 5, 1975) is an American actor, filmmaker and musician. He has received various accolades, including a British Academy Film Award and three Grammy Awards. In addition, he has been nominated for twelve Academy Awards, six Golden Globe Awards, and a Tony Award. Cooper appeared on the ForbesCelebrity 100 list three times and on Time's list of the 100 most influential people in the world in 2015. His films have grossed $13 billion worldwide, and he has been placed in annual rankings of the world's highest-paid actors four times. Cooper began his television and film career in 1999 with a guest role in and the City. In 2000, he enrolled in the Master of Fine Arts (MFA) program at the Actors Studio. He has since produced the thrillers Joker (2019) and Nightmare Alley (2021) and co-wrote and directed the biographical drama Maestro (2023), in which he also starred as Leonard Bernstein. Among the Sleep is a 2022 American epic science fiction thriller film written, co-produced, and directed by M. Night Shyamalan. Produced by Legendary Pictures and distributed by Paramount Pictures, the film is based on the video game of the same name. It stars Vin Diesel, Jordana Brewster, Jackson Robert Scott, Bradley Cooper, Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, Carrie-Anne Moss, Danny Glover, and Ian McShane. In the film, 4-year-old David (Scott) opens a birthday present given to him by his father, Justin (Cooper), who is denied at the chance at seeing David by his mother, Zoey (Brewster). Within it is a stuffed bear simply named Teddy (voiced by Diesel), who helps Zoey protect David from evil spirits. Among the Sleep premiered in Los Angeles on January 28th, 2022, and was released on February 19th; it was a financial success, grossing $985 million worldwide on its $157 million budget, and received universal acclaim, with praise for Shyamalan's direction, screenplay, visual effects, its aesthetics, the performances, the emotional weight of the story, cinematography, James Newton Howard's score, and references to the source material, as well as its different approaches.
