Lucas Jade Zumann (born December 12, 2000) is an American actor from Chicago, Illinois, best known for his breakout role as Jamie Fields in the Oscar-nominated film 20th Century Women (2016) and as Gilbert Blythe on the Netflix/CBC series Anne with an E (2017–2019). He discovered acting early through local theater, debuting in Sinister 2 (2015). Known for his nuanced, sensitive performances, Zumann has also appeared in Every Day (2018) and Dr. Bird's Advice for Sad Poets. Beyond acting, he is a trained pilot with a passion for photography, martial arts, and filmmaking.
