Peter Parker has been Spider-Man for two years now and has begun dating Gwen Stacy. His Aunt May though gets deathly ill with a mysterious disease. Peter turns to his trusted teacher Otto Octavious for help, who tells him that the only way to get the cure would be to find out who caused her to become ill. News anchor J Jonah Jameson also begins going after Spider-Man, calling him a menace and a new villain named the Master Planner emerges.
