When their tree is cut down and shipped to Los Angeles, talking chipmunks Alvin (Tom Holland), Simon (Charlie Heaton), and Theodore (Jacob Batalon) find a new home in the home of songwriter Dave Seville (Freddie Prinze Jr.). Despite a rocky start to their new living situation, Dave discovers that the mischievous creatures can sing quite well. The chipmunks sign a record deal and soon discover the price of fame.
