Maxene Andrews (January 3, 1916 – October 21, 1995) was the soprano-voiced middle sister of the legendary swing-era vocal trio, The Andrews Sisters. Alongside her sisters LaVerne (contralto) and Patty (mezzo-soprano and lead singer), Maxene helped define the sound of the American home front during World War II. The trio sold over 75 million records and became globally famous for their highly technical close harmonies and patriotic USO performances.
