Klaus is a psychic medium who can channel the dead—a power he uses to communicate with spirits while numbing his own pain with drugs and alcohol. Gaunt, effete, and perpetually exhausted, he uses gallows humor to deflect from his trauma, frequently floating in lotus position while furniture swirls around him. Despite his flippant exterior, Klaus is deeply loyal; he channels Hargreeves's ghost to try to stop Vanya and later reads Dr. Terminal's mind to extract crucial information.
