Fan Casting Diego Hargreeves in Alfonso Cuarón's The Umbrella Academy

The family's bitter cynic and lone wolf, Diego can hold his breath indefinitely and is a master knife-fighter. He resents Hargreeves more than any of his siblings, blaming their father for Ben's death and for turning them all into "neurotic, ex-child-prodigy freaks." Despite his harsh exterior, Diego is the only sibling who attended Vanya's recitals, and his desperate plea to her in the climax—acknowledging their father's cruelty and apologizing for his own—proves he loves his family more than he'll ever admit.
