Fan Casting Philip the II of Macedon in Alexandros

Philip the II of Macedon, was the one that made Macedonia a power to be recon with first, and after the battle of Chaeronea, the super power in mainland Greece, defeating the city-states of Athens and Thebes. He was the father of Alexander the great. After his second marriage with Eurydices, a Macedonian woman, niece of his general Attalus, his relationship with his son degenerated. They reconciled with his son shortly before his assassination by Pausanias, probably in service of Olympias, his first wife and mother of Alexander, frightened to see her son's rights neglected by the birth of a son from Eurydices.
