Oumaima Barid is a Moroccan actress born on April 24, 1999, in Agadir, Morocco. She began her artistic journey after discovering a passion for acting during her school years and later moved to Casablanca to study at the Acting Institute while pursuing professional roles. Barid first appeared as an extra before gaining recognition with a supporting role in the 2021 drama Life Suits Me Well. She rose to international prominence with her leading performance as Itto in Animalia, directed by Sofia Alaoui, which premiered at the Sundance Film Festival in 2023 and earned a Special Jury Prize for Creative Vision.
