Jeremy Lee Renner (born January 7, 1971) is an American actor. He began his career by appearing in independent films such as Dahmer (2002) and Neo Ned (2005). Renner earned supporting roles in bigger films, such as S.W.A.T. (2003) and 28 Weeks Later (2007). Renner was nominated for the Academy Award for Best Actor for his performance in The Hurt Locker (2008) and for the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor for his performance in The Town (2010). Renner played Clint Barton / Hawkeye in the Marvel Cinematic Universe films Thor (2011), The Avengers (2012), Avengers: Age of Ultron (2015), Captain America: Civil War (2016), Avengers: Endgame (2019), and Black Widow (2021) in an uncredited voice cameo; with a further appearance in the Disney+ show Hawkeye (2021). He also appeared in Mission: Impossible – Ghost Protocol (2011), The Bourne Legacy (2012), Hansel and Gretel: Witch Hunters (2013), American Hustle (2013), Mission: Impossible – Rogue Nation (2015), and Arrival (2016).
In the not-so-distant future, a radical eco-terrorist group called Horizon’s Wrath hijacks six planes mid-flight using cyber-hacking drones to seize control of the autopilots. The group’s charismatic yet deranged leader, Jonas Wilder, announces his intention to crash the planes into key cities unless his demands—disarmament of global air forces and the shutdown of mega-corporate polluters—are met. The most epic fight scenes that include Plane-to-Plane Leap: Maya, armed with a parachute and grappling hook, makes a death-defying leap from a burning plane to another mid-air, narrowly avoiding a freefall into the ocean. Fuel Tanker Battle: A hijacked refueling plane becomes the stage for a brutal close-quarters fight, where Maya and her team must fend off Wilder’s forces while preventing an explosion. Storm Chase: The convoy flies through a monstrous thunderstorm, with planes tethered together by cables for stability. Maya uses the cables as zip lines while fighting an assassin in the storm’s lightning-lit chaos. Cockpit Showdown: Maya infiltrates the lead plane to confront Wilder. The final battle takes place as the plane nosedives toward a major city, requiring Maya to manually pull the plane up while fending off Wilder’s last-ditch attacks.
