David Dastmalchian (/dəstˈmɑːltʃən/ dəst-MAHL-chən; born July 21, 1975) is an American actor, writer, and producer. He has had supporting roles in a number of superhero franchises: he portrayed Thomas Schiff in The Dark Knight (2008), Kurt and Veb in the Ant-Man franchise, Abra Kadabra in the CW's The Flash, and Polka-Dot Man in The Suicide Squad (2021). Dastmalchian has appeared in three films directed by Denis Villeneuve: Prisoners (2013), Blade Runner 2049 (2017), and Dune (2021). Although he is best known for his work as a character actor, Dastmalchian had leading roles in the 2014 semi-autobiographical film Animals, which he wrote, and the 2023 horror film Late Night with the Devil, which he produced. He is also set to portray Mr. 3 in the Netflix series One Piece. He has a guest appearance on the 2025 TV Series Dexter: Resurrection. After graduating from MIT and return to New York, Flash Thompson feels like he can do something else. Meanwhile, on another place, an kind of alien substance (an symbiont) is found and it's translated to the U.S.A, so they can create a soldier to defend the nation. Without another option and feeling somewhat useless, Flash Thompson decides to join to the program and the symbiont goes inside him. To avoid the symbiont takes control, Thompson is injected with a drug that control the symbiont for 48 hours. Now, as Agent Venom, Flash Thompson gets abilities similar to Spiderman, but he needs to care for avoid to hurt anyone. So, he will fight a lot of criminals. Including the villain, Coldheart. Meanwhile, The FBI agent, Jimmy Woo, is sent to investigate something that they consider like "illegal experiments". So, with Darcy Lewis and Derek Khanata, he will investigate this stuff closely.
