These are sound effects that were created by Skywalker Sound. They debuted in the 1993 film-adaptation of the 1990 science-fiction novel, "Jurassic Park". They were created by Gary Rydstrom. The way these sound effects were done was achieved by taking Sequoia trees, and cutting them down to fall over and hit ground, making the sort of crunchy-like banging sounds heard in the movies that the sounds were used in.
