First appeared in Incredible Hulk #338 in 1987 and was created by Peter David and Todd McFarlane. Previously claiming to be an alien, Abigail Mercy Wright was an intelligence coordinator at Gamma Base who was diagnosed with a brain tumor and gained superpowers after receiving experimental radiation treatments. As Mercy, she visited those contemplating suicide and caused them to die.
