Joel Cairo is a major antagonist of the 1929 Dashiell Hammett novel The Maltese Falcon, and its film adaptations of the same name. He is a partner and companion in Kasper Gutman's criminal trio, along with Wilmer Cook.
In the 1931 film he is played by Otto Matieson, and Peter Lorre in the 1941 film.
