Dr. Scarabus is the main antagonist in the film, The Raven. He was played by the late Boris Karloff who also portrayed Frankenstein's Monster in Frankenstein , The Grinch in Dr. Seuss' How the Grinch stole Christmas, Hjalmar Poelzig in the 1934 film The Black Cat, and Imhotep in the original 1932 version of The Mummy.
