Portrayed by actor Gabriel Basso. Peter Sutherland Jr. is the main character and protagonist of the Netflix action series The Night Agent. Peter is a young FBI agent who answers the phone for the night agents in distress. He receives mentorship from Diane Farr, the U.S. president's chief of staff. Peter's father worked at the White House and was accused of treason, but died from a car accident before he could prove his innocence. As a result, Peter's loyalty is often questioned and is sometimes harassed by journalists and protesters when in public. Peter hopes to learn the truth about his father.
